Welcome to Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens!
November 1, 2014

The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens, known as the “event of the season” and always falling on the first Saturday in November, brings family and friends together to watch thoroughbred horses race over timber and brush hurdles.

Tailgating together, either in tents, box seats or the infield, guests select their favorite horse in each of the five sanctioned races and cheer them to the finish; they entertain their children with Stick Pony races, pony rides, Jack Russell Terrier races, rock climbing wall and more in the Carmike Kids Corral. There are also two junior horse races for selected competitive riders sixteen years old and younger.  You can enjoy bagpipers and blacksmiths, as well as the parade of the Midland Foxhounds, the Southern Views Hat Contest, the 103.7 Lite FM Tailgate Competition and the Ledger-Enquirer Terrace Box Competition. The day includes a variety of entertainment for all ages.

The Silent Auction will be back on Race Day in the Wells Fargo Auction Arcade at the top of the Terrace area.

We can’t wait to see you on November 1, 2014.
